what i describe my friend as a candy is sour patch kid. not becuase he sour its because he always hyper and making wierd faces and noise. like when u eat something sour u speak different and your face changes

ReplyDeleteAugust would be a banana because she loved bananas and for a candy she would be a lollypop. She would be a lollypop because she sweet and people liked sweet things like that. She was a banana because she liked bananas and she was sweet and tall.
My brother Shane would be an apple. He would be a apple because he is green for the world wanting to save it. He is also sour sometimes and sweet the other times. An apple would be the same thing so he is just like an apple.
If i could use a food to describe August, it would have to be caramel. The reason being, is because of her skin color, and she is sweet just like caramel.
ReplyDeleteI would describe my best friend as Swedish Fish. I would describe her as that because she is part Swedish, and she loves fish. Also, Swedish Fish is her favorite candy!
There are many different foods and candies that could describe August Boatwright. One would be honey because, obviously, she loves it. Plus she is very sweet. Another could be a warm loaf of bread, because August is very warm and loving. She could also be described as an apple, because she cares about others, and helps them. For example, she has helped Lily and Rosaleen so much, when she didn’t even know them. An apple is good for you, so in a way, it cares for you too. Those are a few foods that describe August Boatwright.
ReplyDeleteMy brother, Henry, could also be described by many foods and candies. He would definitely be a banana, because he is funny. I think of bananas as funny because I think of the people who use banana peels for pranks. He could also be a Sour Patch Kid, because he can sometimes be moody. One minute he’ll be angry, and the next minute, he’ll be fine. A Sour Patch Kid is sour, and then sweet. Henry could also be described as an orange, because they give you energy. My brother is very energetic. My brother could definitely be described as those foods.
August was described as a banana because she loved bananas and was described as a lollypop because she is such a sweet person. I would describe my friend Marco as an asparagus because he is tall and skinny like an asparagus is. Also the top of a stalk of asparagus is scraggly, just like Marco’s hair. Asparagus is green and Marco is a hippy so he is green in a different way.

I would say my mom is like ice cream because she is easy going and caring but strict at the same time. When my mom gets sad she is very sensitive in this case when the ice cream melts its soft and watery.
ReplyDeleteI would say August is monetary jack cheese. She has here sharp features and her wisdom. But then she has her smooth, loving side. And the most important thing is you can never get tried of eating cheese and most of us love cheese, and most people like August. So she is a perfect monetary cheese. I would describe my step-dad as one of those mystery flavor air head thingies. Because he’s always in a different mood and you never know what flavor you’re getting…

August is described as a banana because bananas are her favorite food. If she had to be a candy I think she would be dark chocolate. I’m not trying to be racist but the color of her skin is described as dark. Also dark chocolate is unique and is different from other chocolates. August is different than her sisters and also can be nice. August can also be tough like dark chocolate, though. I would describe my friend as stride mystery gum. He acts a lot like this because you never know what he is going to do next. He is also crazy and mainly a mystery when you hang around him. So he relates to stride mystery gum very well.

ReplyDeleteMy friend can be described as a sweet and sour candy. Not only does she make weird faces, like she’s sucking on something sour but because of her personality. One moment she will be very nice and sweet. She might be happy and joyful at first, then annoyed or angry the next. My friend might be sugar coated but inside she is sour.
The type of food that I would use to describe August is honey of course. August is sweet like honey. She was sweet enough to take Lily and Rosaleen in, during their time of need. Honey, as used it the book, is the cure for everything. August was the temporary cure for Rosaleen and Lily. She solves their problems by giving them food, and shelter. She is exactly like the honey in the book, always there to help and care.
ReplyDeleteIf I could describe someone using food, I’d describe my mom, but with candy. My mom would be an Almond Joy candy bar. She’d be an Almond Joy because sometimes she’s sweet and comforting. But most of the time she can be a little nutty. At random she can go from sweet, to crazy.You just never know, it all depends on her mood.
If I had to pick one candy to describe August, I would choose a Reese’s Pieces. I chose this candy because, for one thing, the outside chocolate part of the candy matches August’s skin, but on the inside is something completely different, surprising, and unexpected. When Lily first met the calendar sisters, she had a revelation at how sophisticated they were, and she was happily surprised at how kind and welcoming August was. Also, August is someone that will stick with you, and stay trustworthy until the end, kind of like how when you eat peanut butter, it sticks to your tongue and your teeth in your mouth. Another food that August is like is honey. This is true because she is just as sweet, and kind of reminds me of a queen bee, keeping the whole family (hive) organized and cooperative. My brother is a like a Sour Patch Kid, because he can be sour, yet sweet at times. Brandon, my brother, and I are always fighting, but then afterwards we have moments of kindness and friendship. Sour Patch Kids are sour, then sweet, and that’s the same with me and my similar brother.
ReplyDeleteAugust is the most motherly out of all the calendar sisters’. Since she is the most motherly I would say that she is more of a pizza because she is considered to be the mother in the house and the pizza is most people’s favorite food. This relates to August because Lily is her favorite person besides her mother and so is the pizza.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend would be a carrot because when she exercises she gets red in the face. Also she is very skinny and she is very smart. People say that when you eat carrots they make you smarter.
The kinds of candy i would use to describe August Boatwright is milk chocolate. I chose this because she is sweet like milk chocolate and not bitter like dark chocolate! Also because she has lighter skin for an African American.
ReplyDeleteI would describe my best friend as a Twix Bar. The reason why is because she seems tough on the outside but on the inside she is soft and sweet! Also, my best friend loves Twix bars, and you know what they say, “You are what you eat!”
the candy that is most like august is a sour patch, because she is sour at sometimes and sweet the other times. the food she is most like is bananas because they have a beautiful outside and then when you get inside they might be not so good, or bruised. My friend is like a peach because she is fuzzy and good looking on the outside and on the inside she is very sweet.
ReplyDeleteAugust would probably be described as a food or candy in something that included honey. That in mind I chose simply honey on toast, because August is simple and so is that food. If were to describe my brother, however, I would chose the bread you get as an appetizer at most restaurants because he is the Kind of person who always wants more and more.
