(3/20) The Likenesss of

Chapter(s) #
4 & 5

Prompt:
Sue Monk Kidd introduces the reader to August, May, June, and even April by building life into them.  Review your notes about characterization and compile a list of characteristics that describe any of the ladies.

Response Required: Cover all parts of the question.
Instead of typing a response, you are to create a collage or drawing of one of the sisters (or of all of them on one sheet if you so desire).  This will be displayed in the room, so make sure to do an excellent job.  This will be turned in at any point this week or put up on the wall Monday, March 22.

  1. Ms. Drosdick,

For this one do you have to just draw one of the calender sisters, or is there more to it?

  2. The beekeeping estate in Tiburon, South Carolina is a beautiful property. Right when you enter, you feel so good to be in the beekeeping estate. You can hear the bees buzzing and the singing of the sisters working in the house, making the honey. When you visit, you will be able to taste the delicious fresh honey with biscuits. They taste so fresh because they are home made by the Calendar sisters. You will be able to see how the beekeeping business works and how the sisters make the delicious fresh honey. Being able to see the honey combs from the bees is a very rare thing for anyone to see. When you go, you will be hosted by a boy named Zach. He helps out the sisters. While May, June, and August are working hard to make the honey and keep their house beautiful, Zach will show you around the estate and explain how everything works. He is very educated on everything about the bees and beekeeping because he has been around them for so long. You will enjoy a visit to this estate because it is a beautiful property and you can learn how the Calendar sisters make their delicious honey.
