Lily made an important call in chapter 8. It wasn't to 911, but if it was, what would she be calling about?

Lily is internally tough and an intelligent person. See understands what it means to be abused and mistreated. As she made her actual call to T-ray, she asked her about her favorite color. Of course, T-ray answered the wrong one. If her call to the police would have been about arresting T-Ray for his abuse and lack of concern for Lily. That would most likely would have been the response. If I was in the other line, I would ask her were she is, and were T-Ray is. It is so people take Lily to the proper place. T-ray would be thrown in jail, or I may be completely wrong. Any other suggestions?
If Lily needed a 911 call she would say where she was and what see needed. In this case lets just say august got fell fataly ill she wouldnt care about being found and she would say the address and tell the operator what was going on. The operator would then say that help was on the way. Another thing I/the operator would say would be is there anything else i could help you with. Lily would respod no then it would be all great.
ReplyDeleteIf Lily called 911 she would probably talk about what she would do about the situation with T. Ray. She would say how T. Ray has always abused her and he would kill her if she came back. She would talk about how her life has turned out for the best ever since she came to Tiburon then it has in a long time. She probably talk about the cons and pros of living in Tiburon. She would also have asked the operator about what he thinks of what she should do. She would also ask how lying has changed her. Before she barely ever lied and now her whole life is just one lie that keeps on building up kind of like a building and just like a building you can't destroy it that easily. It takes time and if you destroy it too fast or too hard then it will really back fire on yourself. She would probably take an hour or more to say what she has to say but from becoming an average girl to a fugitive hiding at the calendar sisters home.
ReplyDeleteIf I was in the other line I would try to help her because I would realize that she needed somebody to talk to. I would most likely going to help her by answering her questions. I would also help her with her pro and cons list. I would feel sorry for her and try to cheer her up for all things going on in her life she needs somebody to cheer her up. I would encourage her to do what she thinks is right and always listen to the people she cares about because they are the most important people for her. I would also tell her that no matter what decision she makes that she will have support for it from the people she loves.

If lily’s important call was to 911 she would be calling about her father. She would say that her father is abusing her or for killing her mother. To get back at him. Or she would call about her killing her mother. She would turn her self in because of the denial she goes through. She would have to turn her self in so she won’t feel as bad as she does now.
ReplyDeleteIf I was on the other end of the telephone line I would probably help her because she sounds like a good person. I would help her with all of her problems. That’s what I would do if I had to helpher.
Operator-‘911 what is your emergency?’
ReplyDeleteLily- ‘Hello this is Lily Owens, my father has been beating me a lot lately. He has also been lying about my mother leaving me. The police have already come to tell him to stop, but this just enrages him more and makes him take his anger out on me. After that he leaves me locked in my room to starve. He also hid the only things that I have left of my mother.’
Operator- ‘Would you like me to send a team to arrest him?’
Lily- ‘That would be nice but I think I will just run away. Thank you bye’.
If Lily had called 911, I think she would have said who she really was. She would have told the operator that she ran away from home because her father had abused her. Also that the reason she came to Tiburon was to find out if her mother has ever really been there. Lily would have asked the operator if she has ever heard of her mom and if she knows anything about her. The operator would have made sure that she was safe and okay and that no one is hurting her now. After that, the operator would find out who she was staying with and try to help out as much as possible about knowing who her mother was. Lily would feel relieved and scared all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteLily would tell the operator the truth because even if they were going to help her and she didn’t want their help, they wouldn’t know who she was. The things that she would tell the operator would be that she ran away from her house because her father is abusive and not a good father. T. Ray isn’t considered to be a very good father because he only cares about himself and he shouldn’t be in charge of a child’s life. Lily would probably tell the operator that the police arrested her friend for doing nothing but than the operator would tell her that a black man can’t hit a white man. Lily would think this wouldn’t be right because she isn’t use to people getting arrested for no reason but that what the police would do to black people even though it wasn’t fair.
ReplyDeleteIf I was the operator I would tell Lily to stay where she is, in a nice safe house away from T. Ray. Also I would tell her that the police are going to go and find her father and arrest him for abusing a child.
Lily would probably ask the 911 operator about does T-ray really love her? Or did her mother really leave her? Maybe she would also include something about her mother really stay at the boatwright estate? If I were at the end of the line I would tell her maybe T-ray really did love her but he is just going through a grieving period. As for the mother question I would say, since she hadn’t left you before, she must really love you, even if she didn’t plan on having you, that doesn’t mean she wasn’t going to fall in love with you.
